#14: Betelgeuse - Beetlejuice

Let's crank up the juice and see what shakes lose! Making it in at no. 14, I had actually intended to include him last year, but Oogie Boogie beat him out because I figured if I was going to add any of Tim Burton's baddies, I'd have to go with the one I prefer most. Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite film after all, but with a new year, it's his time to shine! I intended this to represent more of his persona from the film, which I generally prefer (hence my insistence on using the actual spelling from within the film) but at the time, I really didn't feel my skills were up to snuff to attempt drawing any kind of likeness to Michael Keaton, so I opted for the easier design from the cartoon which, while I think hurts my case a bit for the use of this countdown, in the end he's still the Ghost with the Most, no matter what incarnation he's in.
